About
Our Principal
Ben Madden, Principal, has close to 20 years experience in HR with wide ranging industries including retail, government contracting, IT Start-Ups, and professional services organizations. Prior to founding HR Action, Ben spent the last 12 years as the SVP of Human Resources at the Ambit Group, a large govcon system integrator, until its acquisition in 2022. During his time at Ambit, Ben helped oversee a 5x growth in staff and supported integration of two acquisitions and the sale to DMI while leading the HR department to a Best Places to Work from the Washington Post two times. Ben has directed and been responsible for talent acquisition, benefits, talent management, employee engagement and the entire employee lifecycle while serving as a sleeves rolled up leader.
Over the last 5 years, Mr. Madden also has served on the NOVA SHRM board, the 2nd largest SHRM local chapter in the state of Virginia including two terms as the president. Ben has received both his PHR from HRCI and the SHRM-CP from SHRM and the ICP-Agile HR certification. Ben is certified in MBTI. Ben holds an BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a MS in Organization Development from American University.
